The house, dubbed Lumi, takes its character from a thoughtful use of light tailored to each space's purpose. Cenital openings, hollow stairs, and two light sources in each area work to eliminate harsh contrasts and shadows. In the main bedroom, tall walls balance privacy and light from various angles, creating a sense of openness. This design melds traditional Mexican elements with modern functionality in an attempt to create a captivating synthesis. A centrally positioned kitchen, visible from various areas, aims to embody Mexican culture, transforming cooking into a communal experience. We strive to respect tradition while modestly attempting to embrace contemporary living, aspiring to forge a distinctive and inviting atmosphere.
